Final Textures: Figured out the rotation issues with smart materials. Added effects and a story element. Matched colors to reference with slight alterations. Changed base colors to be more realistic than full black and full white (or with some deviations)
Initial Textures: After reworking UVs and some faceting, I have finally been able to apply the basic materials to make this prop come to life!
Initial Bake: a little rough around the edges. Silhouette looked quite accurate on either model. UVs are mapped nicely. Initial bake still came out, literally rough around the edges… Hrmm..
Hi-res, pre-bake: Utilized primitives for handle and its parts. Plane and extrusion technique for the blade. The hardest part of this was edge-looping the blade!
