Art Creation for Games: Week 1 (Blockout and High Res)

First week of ACG, we are introduced to the beginning of art creation for games. We learn to do quick work of blockouts and high res models in preparation for UVing and a new modeling tier, Game Res!

Learning small, but important things this month is the greatest part of the class.

High res is only here for baking normal maps, for the most part. So, floating holes and n-gons are okay as long as the model does not collapse in smooth mode.
